I’m writing this in great haste as I pack for travel to Denmark tomorrow. I am taking lots of my handwoven lambswool throws to display in an exhibition of my work alongside the work of tapestry weaver, Joan Baxter and rug weaver, Colleen Pope. But before I go I thought you might like to see the new pieces I shall be taking.
I have a second Dubbelbinding throw, inspired by the old manor farm of Kattrup Gods – seen below – where the Weaving Festival is held. Its soft whites and greys, with an accent of rusty red echo the austere and calm beauty of the great house.
I’ll write more when I get back but just wanted to let people have a glimpse of what I will be taking.
