Side by side in the photo above are both English Gardens and English Robins about to make there way to the Danish Weaving Festival at Jyderup, Denmark, tomorrow in time for the exhibition (9-10 June 2018). They are my homage to the mid-century Swedish rug designer and weaver Irma Kronlund. I love her designs and especially the design called Rödhake – which means Robin in Swedish. These are my English Robin (predominantly red with green) and English Gardens (shades of green and red), which is inspired by old formal English gardens with there formal layouts and red brick paths.
Its a mad dash here to get everything packed so I shall write more about these designs when I get back. But at least it is a chance to see the new pieces.
