Its not often that you feel you have met your perfect match, but this autumn I certainly met mine… stylistically speaking. Deputy Home and Style Editor at Country Living, Alaina Binks, approached me last autumn with a request to borrow a couple of throws she had seen on the website for a photo shoot for the Spring 2018 edition of Modern Rustic. They were to feature as two of their Objects of Desire in the next edition.
This is such a beautiful bookazine filled with homes to dream of in picturesque and fascinating locations. Think log cabins, Scandinavian minimalist style, contemporary minimalism and you are on the right track. They also profile some great artisans and it is packed with lots of carefully curated products to compliment the beautiful homes. Truly inspirational!
Alaina and I had fun trying to sort the logistics as the photoshoot clashed with Handmade Kew and getting the products to the shoot was an interesting challenge. The Lineal was picked up by Alaina at Kew and the Dubbelbinding was sent by courier on the day of the photoshoot. But it was so worthwhile, they have been beautifully photographed by Nato Welton, and I am so delighted with the result… a wonderful full page shot of my Dubbelbinding and Lineal throws cosied up together.
If you are reading this and are planning or designing your own home I can highly recommend this 228 page bookazine as beautifully presented and inspiring resources.
