Trevose Head and the National Trust

Trevose Head and the National Trust

In 2016, thanks to gifts in wills and generous donations, the National Trust was able to purchase Trevose Head when for the first time it came up for sale.  In July that year, the National Trust launched a campaign to raise £250,000 to support conservation work on the headland.

The Trust intends to safeguard the ownership of Trevose Head and preserve the view and guarantee access to this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty by:
  • Protecting Trevose Head for people and wildlife, keeping this iconic coastal view for people to enjoy for generations to come
  • Undertaking bio-surveys to understand the current coastal wildlife and habitats that call Trevose Head home
  • Managing these habitats to create an environment in which  coastal wildlife can flourish
  • Caring and repairing footpaths and fencing so that everybody can enjoy the wide scoping views

I have arranged with the South West Region of the National Trust to pay my donations directly to them on a periodic basis. You can see how my campaign is going by visiting my Just Giving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/madeleine-jude
