After a couple of months of long working into the evening, both by me and my dear husband, I am delighted to welcome you to my new website, web shop and blog. I am really delighted with the new look, big photos so you can really see the detail and a nice clean look which I have been desperate to achieve for some time.
If life goes to plan I hope to be writing more and featuring more about the other things I love to do. I’m really not just a weaver. I spin, dye with plants, knit, garden, travel and think, and I hope to share more of this in future.
A great place to start is with a photo of my little studio at the bottom of my garden where my latest textile adventures began. Its where I like to think and plan. I have all my yarns stored there, easy to reach for when developing new ideas. And it is the most sheltered part of the garden when it comes to just sitting relaxing with coffee and a croissant or biscuit.
The light is a bit dim though – thanks to the huge success of my rare double-flowered, Japanese ‘Black Dragon’ wisteria, so the weaving now takes place in my light and airy garden room which we added to the house some years ago. Great big windows and french doors let in the garden and enormous Velux windows let in the light by day and the stars by night.
