Description

For the Coverlet range of throws and cushions, the pattern is inspired by American coverlets and ancient German block weave designs. It is woven in a reversing three shaft twill which presents the reverse colourway on the other side.

Soft blue is a lovely shade of blue reminiscent of faded indigo. The yarn is 100% best quality lambswool which comes from a spinning mill in Scotland.

Each throw is hand woven by me in my studio in West Cornwall. It is then cut from the loom, scoured and washed to ‘full’ the cloth, to create a lambswool throw that is wonderfully light, warm and soft. The fringes are created on the loom using hem stitch to provide a decorative finish which locks the groups of thread in place.

Perfect for autumn days and winter nights by the fire or on the sofa, or for adding a bit of extra warmth, colour and style to your bed.

In the summer it can double up as a picnic blanket.

Dimensions: approximately 195cm x 110 cm (77” x 43”)

Longer throws can be woven on commission. use the form on the contact page to send an enquiry.

Matching cushions also available as a custom order.
