Description
This pattern is the first throw I designed using my current threading pattern on my loom. The pattern is inspired by old Scandinavian linen textiles, The weave, a reversing three shaft twill gives the opposite colourway on the reverse side so you can easily change the mood of a room by using the lighter or darker side.
Each throw has been woven and finished by me in my studio in West Cornwall.
Please note, the image shows the throw with hand twisted fringes, however I now use a hand worked hem stitch while the throw is still on the loom to give a fringe formed of groups of threads held in place by the hem stitch.
This throw has the largest of all the motifs I use. Its perfect for autumn days and winter nights by the fire or on the sofa, or for adding a bit of extra warmth, colour and style to your bed. In the summer it can also double up as a picnic blanket.
