Description
What could be more snuggly in the cold and damp weather than a classic ribbed scarf from my Cornish Collection of beautiful and warm, 2 x 2 rib lambswool scarves. They are just perfect for those blustery country or coastal walks, or for brightening and warming a cold and damp commute to work. And they are perfect for both men and women too, as my customers will tell you!
The scarf is approximately 165 cm long and 20 cm wide (65 x 8 inches)
I have lots of wonderful heathery colours to choose from – blues, greens, browns, reds, yellows, pinks and lilacs. Each is a unique blend of colours chosen to create that interesting depth and colour texture associated with the Scottish Highlands.
The wool is 100% lambswool, made from the first clipping so very soft, and sourced from a traditional Scottish spinning mill, where they clean and wash the fleece before batch dying the fibre and then blending several colours to make a unique softly heathered colour.
The scarves are made by hand, either by me or my husband, using an old domestic knitting machine, and are then finished and twice washed by hand to give them their soft and cosy finish.
To care for you lambswool scarf I recommend carefully washing by hand, in warm water, using a gentle liquid soap especially designed for washing wool. Looked after well, your scarf will become softer and softer with use. You can either fold them a couple of times and allow the water to drip before hanging to dry, or if you have a modern washing machine you can put them to spin on the slowest setting before hanging to dry.
